What is BLACKTRAX?
Black Trax is a modern and precise system for tracking the position of objects in a 3D environment dedicated to applications in the entertainment industry (theater, concerts, shows, TV studios), both permanent installations and temporary. You can detect the position by using three or six degrees of freedom: x, y, z, and the angles of rotation about the axis), and then using this information to control a variety of devices: sound, light automatic media servers and video projection and automated cameras all this in real time without undue delay.
Each tracked object is equipped with a miniature device (BTBeacon), including infrared LEDs, gyroscope and accelerometer, and a tiny wireless transmitter. Position detectors are specialized infrared camera (BTCamera). The detection area is a sphere with a diameter of about 50m, and the sampling frequency of 100Hz.
Simultaneous work in radio wavelengths using detection by akcerometru and the gyroscope (IMU) with optical detection provides extremely high precision and reliability (system with a constant redundancy).
Tracking is possible in total darkness, full exposure, and even in the open air and sunlight, regardless of weather conditions.
Cameras used to detect the position of a professional camcorder like "motion capture" infrared, designed for applications stage. Thanks to the infrared LEDs and detectors of this type tags are not visible to the audience and the cameras show.
The parameters of each of the tracked object are then sent to the position controller (BTController) and then to the server (Server BT), which oversees the operation of the system and sends a signal to the actuators.
Using a system of Black Trax we can track the position of a variety of objects, not just people e.g. the actors, acrobats, but also the moving elements of stage design and the resulting information used e.g. to permanently illuminate the object, digital projection on a 3D object, matched to the shape and position dynamically changing depending on the angle of rotation. Applications are unlimited, dependent only on the imagination of the creator.

Black Trax always comes as a complete and effective system matched to the application. However, it is necessary to precisely set the number of individual components, method of attachment and calibration.
